How do I place an order?
Browse our online shop, add your favourite cards, papers, stationery, gifts and desk treasures to your cart, then complete checkout. Once your order is placed, we’ll send a confirmation by email.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
If you need to adjust an order, please reach out as soon as you can. We pack orders with care and will do our best to help before your parcel is prepared for shipping.
Shipping
Where do you ship?
We ship eligible online orders within Canada. Shipping options and costs are shown at checkout, based on your order and delivery address.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Delivery timing depends on your location and selected shipping method. If tracking is available for your order, we’ll share those details once your parcel is on its way.
Can you ship ink during the winter?
During the winter months, we may be unable to ship bottled ink to colder areas of Canada. Ink can freeze in transit, which may cause bottles to crack or shatter during shipping. If you place an order for ink and we are concerned about the destination or weather conditions, we will reach out to you before shipping.
Do you offer local pickup?
Local pickup is not available just yet. In the meantime, we’re delighted to offer the ease of online shopping and shipping, and we warmly invite you to visit us in person whenever you can. The charm of The Papery is best enjoyed among the cards, papers, stationery and little discoveries on our shelves.

What is your return policy?
We hope every purchase feels like a perfect fit. If something isn’t quite right, please contact us within the return window listed on our refund policy page and we’ll guide you through the next steps.
Can I return sale or final-sale items?
Some items may be final sale, including clearance pieces, special orders or opened products. Please review the product details before purchasing and contact us if you’re unsure.
Products and Availability
An item I wanted is sold out. Will it be restocked?
Many of our paper goods and gift items are carefully selected, seasonal or limited in quantity. If something has disappeared from the shelves online, please get in touch and we’ll let you know whether more may be coming.
Do product colours look exactly the same online?
We do our best to show colours and textures accurately, especially for paper, ink and stationery details. Please note that colours can vary slightly depending on your screen settings.
Gifts and Special Requests
Do you offer gift wrapping or gift notes?
If gift wrapping or gift notes are available, you can add your request at checkout or contact us before placing your order. We’re always happy to help make a thoughtful gift feel extra special.
Can you help me choose a gift?
Absolutely. Tell us a little about the recipient, the occasion or the kind of feeling you’d like the gift to have, and we can suggest cards, stationery, paper goods or small treasures from the shop.
